THE SHOPHOUSE Hong Kong Turns Pre-WWII Building Into 4,000 Sq-Ft of Gallery Space

Last Saturday saw the official opening of Unveil Limited's THE SHOPHOUSE concept in Hong Kong. The Grade III-listed pre-WWII traditional "tong lau" building has been restored and updated, but sees the reclamation of many fixtures and details from its rich past -- details like the "Shanghai plaster" exterior, wrought iron window framing, and terrazzo floors all point back to Hong Kong's celebrated and burgeoning past.The new space serves as a 4,000 sq-ft gallery space with each floor dedicated to...
